Return to Sunday Morning Worship Service

The Plan is for us to to begin worshiping together 14 June 2020
Our goal is to share the gospel, fellowship, and support not the virus

This coming Sunday, June 7, 2020, we will be verifying everything needed is in place. On June 14, here are some of the things you can expect to see in place.

The social distancing will begin in the parking lot. There will be hand sanitizer provided at the entrances, and masks will be provided for those who do not have them.
Remember, the masks are there to protect others from possible exposure from you.
Tables have been set up so those who are in the same household may sit together while maintaining social distancing from others. Other changes you may note
Initially, we will not be able to provide childcare We are working to have play areas for little children with toys sanitized in the same standards and methods as the daycare
 Sunday School will not be conducted.
 Initially, the Covenant Café will NOT be open
 Hallway areas which we would typically congregate before services will be sectioned off.
 Initially, there may not be a Praise Team leading worship
 The offering will only be made through the offering box or online
 Service lengths will be reduced

As we progress, we will be working to establish these items as soon as we do it can safely. In the meantime, we recognize that broadcasting services are no longer a luxury but a necessity for some in our community. So we will be investing in the necessary equipment to provide a quality broadcast. We are working to improve the sound and overall quality of the services and studies on Facebook and Zoom. Board meetings, committee meetings, and Wednesday Study will continue on Zoom and Facebook live. The good news is that Facebook live feeds are available after the studies as well.
Open Gate continues to do ministry during this time. Wee Care Daycare is open. We have conducted several food pantries and a Drive-by Food Drive to help restock the pantry. If you would like to donate, please drop it off at the daycare building, or contact us and we will make arrangements with you.
Also, The Board has voted to send support to the Navaho Reservation’s residents, who are extremely hard hit by the pandemic- a $1000 from Open Gate donations so far and if you would like to help with a designated gift, please let us know, and we will help make it happen
Thanks for all of you who have remained faithful through these last few months, and I am looking forward to when we can come together and worship.
